| Yesterday, I was very happy to "talk" to David Choi on a live chat. David Choi said hi to me, mouthed along with his song, said tonight's gonna be a good night, and then he talked about racism at the end. I said it's human nature, and he said, "good point, mbfly." sigh! I'm buying his CD, he's amazing.
My friends uploaded pictures from Korea, and it looks so fun! I want to go. Someday I will..
***Warning: skip this paragraph if you have a weak stomach*** I have been sleeping during the day and staying up at night on the computer because I'm a lazy good-for-nothing bum. Yesterday, I ate shrimp FRIED rice and complimentary FRIED dumplings at Hmart. That was my 1 big meal of the day. For a midnight snack, I tried ants on a log (celery sticks + peanut butter + raisins) for the first time. Now, I have never been a fan of celery and peanut butter..I only eat it when I'm stressed. This time, I just wanted to try a healthy snack. It tasted alright with lots of raisins. I used 1.5 oz of raisins. About an hour later, I felt queasy, but I kept it down. I worked out at 3am and went to bed at 7AM (crazy me). I woke up at 12:45pm nauseated. I threw up 2 times, drank some water, and threw it all up again. Also, 3 trips to the toilet because of diarrhea. In fact, I took a trip to the bathroom while typing this. I washed my hands with nice anti-bacterial soap, so no germies for you! I can't believe this...a day before I go back to Baylor. I can't even make it through a summer without throwing up. dunno if I mentioned this here before, but last summer, my dentist bought us lunch every Saturday. One Saturday, he bought us FRIED chicken, FRIED rice, and a FRIED egg roll. I even peeled all the fried dough off the chicken...but that was a BAD NIGHT. Oh yeah, and then there was that one night last summer I never want to remember because it's so embarassing. It's a secret H and I may laugh about in 10 years...ugh but not now. too soon.
Well, I made a list of some good tips because I made the same mistake last year. -avoid fried and/or poisoned food -eat small meals throughout the day, not one gigantic one -SLEEP at night -don't loiter on the computer for long periods
I really did feel like crap today. It's one of the worst feelings in the world. It makes me think about the patient floors at the hospital. The people with long-term diseases. Any kind of physical suffering makes me sad. What will I do about it? Save some people with toothaches..because teeth are important! for eating and talking! and...I need to be more educated on this subject.

| I love planning my schedule for the upcoming semester. This time, I waited until my boss nagged me for my schedule. I was horrified that my brit lit class teacher was a crazy one from freshman year, and I quickly got out of that. I'm STILL figuring out the perfect class/work schedule.
Listening to 90s pop music...ahh the memories. The dance moves are amazing. :)
I practiced some BSO excerpts today. Mahler Symphony 1 mvmt 1. The ending is so awesome. Also, we may be playing Barber of Seville, Beethoven's Symphony 4, and Ravel's Le Tombeau de Couperin. Classical music is so complex and beautiful. I wonder if I will ever play violin after this year? Last fall, I tried to send my bow via snail mail to get rehaired....and UPS BROKE MY BOW. It was my worst nightmare and I cried. I have a new bow, but man I miss my old one. My mom wrote a 3 page letter to UPS to get some kind of compensation, and we got $400 back. They kept my broken bow. Right now, I be waitin for my Tonica strings to come in...been waiting for 3 weeks, grr.
My bro got in an accident 2 weeks ago. There were 2 witnesses, and it was 100% another lady's fault. My brother didn't get the witnesses' phone numbers, so now the blame is 50-50. That is so lame and stressful. The witnesses were extremely prepared with road flares and brooms to sweep up debris. :P ...but they left without leaving phone numbers...thanks but no thanks. The car was supposed to be fixed by today, but the mechanic didn't even look at it until today. Lame. We can't even trade in an old car for the Clunkers program because it runs more than 18 MPG. I wish I had a car.

| I was just reading through my xanga...a lot of entries are private, and they made me chuckle at all the trivial things I used to think about. I moved all my stuff in to my NEW apartment in Waco, where I will be cohabitating in a 1 bedroom with my bro. The leasing office moved me to the SECOND FLOOR without asking me. This new apartment has 2 deadbolts and no bars on the windows. I am scared to walk around at night now. I was watching a youtube video about what girls carry in their purses. One girl had an humongo illegal knife, the kind airport security will tackle you for. You have to be strong to follow through with the knife if someone was actually assaulting you. I would be better off with a pepper spray. This reminds me of my friend who shall be named X. X loves to protect his girlfriend, and treat her/smother her like a princess. It gets excessive and everyone around that couple gets annoyed. We feel a little jealous, but it's mostly pity we feel for them. I wonder where this couple will be in 10 years. Anywho, this little rant about X relates to the pepper spray story..but I guess it really doesn't. dunno why I brought X up. :P
If you are reading this, you will realize...my "writing style" (if you can call it that) is like one continuous thought. One idea just flows into the next. It's very jumbled. This is how my brain is organized. In conversations, I bring up new topics... and people think I'm crazy because they want to finish talking about whatever topic they were on. Maybe because I just think about me me me and get bored with their chatter. Oh how I missed blogging.
Before Twitter, I used to go through life thinking up cool statuses for my facebook...and now I can update facebook and twitter with texts from my phone. amazing. I have always been a conformist, gotta ride the waves of that incoming tsunami, whoaaahh! In other words, go with the flow, keep up with the times, let the good times roll! I love twitter. I can go back to old tweets and sweet memories flood back from few simple words. love love it. I got a few blog topics from reading my old tweets.
Many of my friends left for Korea this month. I will miss them very much. I pray that they will stay safe and make lots of memories. If I went to Korea, I would so do a blog and make a scrapbook. Oh, I chatted with my friend in Korean on AIM last week. My Korean grammar is the bomb... :)
HMK discovered oovoo and skype a few weeks ago, but we haven't been using it lately. The 3-way chat is only available in the trial version, but Harry is already bogged down with architecture stuff in Puerto Rico. I don't have too many days left myself before school starts again. I too will soon be bogged down with STUFF.
This summer, I took a philosophy and Spanish I class at community college. It's the only place I can make an A in philosophy and a B in Spanish I. Both professors had PhD's. impressive.
The philosophy class started with Plato's Republic and ended with Nietzsche. I had an awesome badass teacher who wasn't afraid to speak exactly what was on his mind. I was scared of him in the beginning because he kept saying we would fail his midterm and final. I also didn't like his offensive talks in the first week, but he was really funny. I learned a lot from his class. After the long essay final, I thanked him for his awesome teaching style. Compliments should go where they are deserved. It feels really great to give and receive compliments where they are due. :)
Philosophy is so thought-provoking and amazing. Everything you think you know...can be obliterated with reason. My future husband and I will only argue with reason, and it will never be over trivial things. (yeah right, I can dream though). Is the most rational thing also the right thing to do? No. Anyway, most people are rooted in doing things the same way every time because they are comfortable with doing them. Philosophy challenges everything you believe in by asking you to apply reason. I really enjoyed taking philosophy (for fun. crazy me). Everyday after class, I would think about what the professor talked about in class. Also, I started making analogies between everything I saw in nature around me to life itself. I talked to a friend about philosophy and religion. I remember taking Great Texts classes at Baylor and being so awed and dazzled after every class discussion. [Plato in his Theaetetus wrote that: the origin of philosophy is "wonder." Wonder in this context means a sense of 'puzzlement' or 'perplexity', not 'awe'] Once you start scratching your head and wondering, that's when philosophy begins. Well, I have a tendency to be swayed by good arguments. In Student Senate, we would have alternating statements made for and against a bill, and I would be undecided with my vote until the very end. Good speakers can make you believe anything. >.< My friend was worried that learning more would make him think too much and have less faith in God. I believe that knowledge is good, especially the kind you can't get in books, and you shouldn't avoid wisdom out of fear of losing faith in what you believe in already. Wisdom is knowing that you don't know everything. You don't have to go to a great school to be a philosopher. In many cases, philosophy can make you even stronger in your faith. I was mind-boggled when we proved the existence of God in class at Baylor. I wanted a more unbiased philosophy class, and I got it at community college. I think atheism is really terrible because it means you are absolutely sure there is nothing greater than you.
Nietzsche was so controversial. I wonder if they teach about him at Baylor. He was such a pessimist, believing that there is no reason we are here, there is no eternity, existentialism, Christian virtues are bad, suffering is good. "What doesn't kill you makes you stronger." That's a good quote. One thing I like about him is the idea of looking to yourself first and not relying on other things for the cause of your unhappiness. -------end of random philosophy thoughts
In Spanish I, I was completely screwed over by the Language Lab.. I made high A's on all tests and quizzes, but the dumbest lab director made me so mad. I wasn't allowed to make up hours. That JERK.
I made 4-step chicken! Melissa d'Arabian won The Next Food Network Star. I missed her first episode on Sunday. They changed her show name to "10 Dollar Dinners" and gave her a death time slot on a weekend afternoon. The chicken I made was amazing, crispy, flavorful, aromatic..etc. I want to make potato gratin in muffin tins!
My cat had fleas and then tapeworms..and they are now GONE. :)
I watched a really dumb anime all the way through...26 episodes. It just proved how addicting and dumb they are. I will now classify animes in the "Korean drama" category. All it did was revive my want for cute things and also my asian-ness. lol. It was called Bokura Ga Ita...pretty much a drama, but in cartoon form. I would have liked a better ending. too much drama, too stretched out. Blah.
Whew, the bottled up blogger in me has come out again. I plan to blog more so that I have material for my ~ COLLEGE SENIOR SCRAPBOOK ~ good morning.

| Aside from Stompfest, this weekend would be a normal one in Waco, but I'm a goin HOME THIS WEEKEND. Thank the Lord that I was born this time of the year. I seriously need to go home. Hopefully, I'll come back with a new hairdo. Oh, I'm going home the weekend before my bday bc next week is semiformal, and it's "bad luck" to celebrate your bday after it has already happened. I give up on guys in college. My grades will go up, and I will succeed! hoorah? My soulmate is an acceptance letter from a dental school. Nothing comes between me and me soulmate! Arr.. Listen to this: I applied for a an international meeting of youth from all around the world to meet in France and stay for 2 weeks..for FREE. All you have to pay is airfare there and back. but they only choose 50 students from around the WORLD, 3 students from the states of TX, OK, and AR. I had a write a cover letter in French. and I'm pretty sure I didn't get it because of horrible french grammar, but hey! I tried during a very hectic week, running around making sure it got mailed in time. If there's a slight chance that I did get it, uh......I would faint from happiness. :) I live for weekends. Just one week after another. I always wonder if this week from hell beats the last week from hell. Weeks go by like a blur, and bam it's summer break and I'll be wishing for school again. This week, ochem test mon, genetics test tues, french quiz mon/wed, essay due thurs, DONE! Many nights of limited sleep. I skipped orchestra for the first time in 2 semesters of sitting in the front. I had to study for a test, HAD to, plus I am now sick. :( Green tea soothes the soul I tell ya. I'm anticipating Friday so much that I am procrastinating/writing my essay 5 hours before it is due. capital F. How to elaborate to 800 words on a topic that I can only think of 10 words to reply? Good morning. | | |
| Happy New Year! I attended the annual party at Harry's and it rocked. especially because of awesome food, drink, and people! so.. You know I'm bored when there's a new xanga post. :P
New Year's Resolution! -No dessert. very simple. no unhealthy eats after meals. Last year, I gave up cake and ice cream (minus bday cake) and I lasted 4 months. -4.0 GPA. why not? -Do the splits : O
Can this break drag on any longer? NOOOooo. Here's a list of movies I've watched this break:
The Simpsons Movie
Blades of Glory
I am Legend
Rush Hour 3
Happy Feet
Enchanted <3 *
Shrek 3
A Life Less Ordinary The Devil Wears Prada The Ringer Madagascar to be cont. (bc I'm bored)
I also watched Season 1&2 of The Office, which is hilarious. almost done with Season 1 of LOST. Nothing else to say about this break except that I'm slowly losing my brain cells, people skills, and tan. lol. I got a camera and a piano keyboard for Christmas. I play with both everyday pretty much. Two parties, one full day of hanging out with a Baylor friend, and shopping sum up the 'fun' part of the break. Blockbuster called today...about time. I apply for jobs, and they always call a week before school starts. :( Now I have to apply again when school ends. My brother starts driving by himself tomorrow. Now, I must mooch rides from a high school kid. ugh.
Some people just STINK at facebook stalking. If you do stalk, be honest. I know what I put on there. | | |
